У звіті VG Insights відзначається значне зростання кількості кооперативних ігрів, випущених та проданих у Steam в останні роки. У 2023 році в Steam було випущено 799 кооперативних ігор, що перевищує показники 2022 (701 гра), 2021 (650 ігор) та 2020 (647 ігор).
Минулого року 36% всіх проданих ігрів у Steam були кооперативними. Прогнози на 2024 рік показують, що ця тенденція буде продовжуватися: очікується, що 46% проданих ігрів у Steam матиме кооперативний елемент.
Гра Helldivers 2 можна вважати особливо успішною, оскільки на неї припало 28% усіх продажів кооперативних ігрів у Steam у 2024 році.
Крім того, у звіті вказується, що середній продаж кооперативних ігрів у Steam становить близько 40 000 копій, тоді як середній продаж некооперативних ігрів значно нижчий — близько 5000 копій.
