24.02.24
Microsoft has reported the use of artificial intelligence tools by Russian, Chinese and Iranian hackers to deceive people. These groups supported by respective states used large language models to generate human-like responses through AI.
Microsoft tracked groups linked to Russian military intelligence, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, and the governments of China and North Korea. Hackers have tried to improve their operations with the help of artificial intelligence.
In response, Microsoft introduced a blanket ban on the use of artificial intelligence products by government hacking groups.
Representatives of the Chinese Embassy in the United States stated their attitude to these accusations, expressing support for the safe and reliable development of artificial intelligence technologies.
