You can grouped Viber chats and channels in to folders now
07.03.24
Rakuten Viber is launching a new feature – chat folders. This feature allows users to organize their chats and quickly find the conversations they need.
The folders feature allows you to create up to 5 special folders, complementing the “All” tab, which automatically includes all chats and channels. You can create an unlimited number of chats and channels in one folder, and also add one chat or channel to several folders at the same time.
Users can now create separate folders for chats with friends, family, work or neighbors, as well as news channels. In folders, you can give names and mark all chats and channels from the folder as read in a couple of clicks.
An icon with a number will appear on the folder name indicating the number of unread chats and channels in this folder. You can add all personal chats, group chats, channels and communities to folders, but not chats and messages from companies hidden by PIN code.
The folders feature is currently in testing and will gradually become available to all users of Rakuten version 22.0 and above over the coming months.
Users with more than 10 chats that already have the feature available will see a folder availability announcement when opening the app. Folders can also be activated by going to the More tab on the main chats screen, selecting Manage Folders, and adding the desired chats and channels to the folders.
