Steam now lets see how much you’ve spent on games
18.04.25
The Steam platform has long had the ability to find out exactly how much a user has spent on games and other materials, but not everyone knows about it. One of the Reddit users with the nickname trotski94 reminded of this tool and described how to get access to complete information about their expenses in the Valve system.
As the author noted, the method allows you to see the exact amount of invested funds, and not just sum up individual transactions, which is often inaccurate. To do this, you need to use the built-in Steam support system, which contains data related to the account.
In particular, in the Steam client, you should open the help section, go to the support section, and then select the item related to account information. Next, you need to find the section where data on external financial receipts to the user’s account are displayed. This list will contain a line called TotalSpend – it is it that shows the total amount of funds deposited into the account for the entire time of its use.
Thus, anyone can easily find out how significant their investment in the game library turned out to be. This indicator can both surprise the user himself and make him think, especially if a significant part of the purchased games remained untouched.
How to find out how much money was spent on Steam:
- Click on the “Help” tab in the upper left corner of the site window.
- Select “Steam Support”.
- Go to the “My Account” section.
- Select “Data associated with your Steam account”.
- Click on “External resources used”.
