Bitcoin reached over 72 thousand dollars. The demand for cryptocurrency only continues to grow.
Bitcoin’s price increased 4.4% to $72,649 after peaking at $72,739. The cryptocurrency’s rally came as a result of cash flowing into new Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds and expectations of interest rate cuts from the Federal Reserve.
Bitfinex analysts emphasize that the rise in the price of Bitcoin indicates its strength and stability. The increase in demand also indicates overall market confidence in the asset.
However, a “halving” event is expected in April, as a result of which the number of new bitcoins entering circulation will decrease. This further supports the price of the cryptocurrency.
