The Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies (UCRF) made more than 25,000 radio frequency assignments during 2023
16.02.24
Last year, the Ukrainian State Radio Frequency Center increased the number of radio frequency assignments by more than 25,000, which indicates the intensive use of this resource in the country. This figure represents a significant improvement over the previous year and reflects the growing need to restore electronic communications, even during martial law. The Ukrainian State Radio Frequency Center actively implements advanced technologies and improves the Automated Radio Frequency Spectrum Management Information System, which ensures high accuracy and efficiency in its work.
Only thanks to the successful adaptation to the electronic communications market during the war and the need to restore and develop electronic communications networks, there was a significant increase in the number of completed works compared to 2022. Radio frequency assignment activities were an integral part of the mission to ensure electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and effective management of the country’s radio frequency spectrum.
In its activities, the Radio Service Department of the Ukrainian State Radio Frequency Center is based on international standards and cooperates with the international community to develop and optimize the use of the radio frequency spectrum. The work of this department is of great importance for ensuring electromagnetic compatibility and effective management of the country’s radio frequency spectrum. The Ukrainian side not only meets international standards in the field of radio communication, but also actively cooperates with the international community to develop and optimize the use of the radio frequency spectrum.
In its activities, the Radio Service Department of the UDCR, in accordance with Article 69 of the Law “On Electronic Communications”, performs the calculation of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) for general users, which is carried out in accordance with the procedure established by the National Commission that carries out state regulation in the field of electronic communications, radio frequency spectrum and provision of postal services (NKEK).
With the implementation of the new edition of the Regulation of amateur radio communications of Ukraine and the expansion of the network of digital multi-channel broadcasting in the meter range of the MX-7 spectrum, Ukraine will undergo key innovations in the field of radio communications. Such changes are aimed at harmonizing with the regulatory legal acts of the European Union and improving the quality of amateur radio communication. In addition, cooperation with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the implementation of effective settlement projects for border areas guarantee a stable broadcast of Ukrainian television and support the unity of the nation.
The work of the Ukrainian State Radio Frequency Center proves the importance of ensuring electromagnetic compatibility and effective management of the radio frequency spectrum for the development of modern information technologies and radio communication services in Ukraine.
The settlement not only expands the MX-7 network, but also provides television coverage in key regions. It is important to know that on the basis of the license for the provision of services for broadcasting needs L70-01785 dated November 9, 2023, received by the Concern of Radio Broadcasting, Radio Communications and Television (KRRT), UDCR assigned 128 radio frequencies for the MH-7 network. This is a great contribution to the development of the country’s information space, especially on the border, which guarantees a stable broadcast of Ukrainian television, which supports the unity of our people.
