26.04.24Polestar (a joint venture between Volvo and Geely) announced its first smartphone in China. Polestar Phone was developed jointly with the Meizu brand (owned by Geely).
The Polestar Phone was based on the flagship Meizu 21 Pro. The gadget received the same body and characteristics, but a special white color with a matte finish, the Polestar logo on the back panel and integration with the Polestar 4 electric car.
Polestar Phone can be used as a digital car key. In addition, you can control some car functions using your smartphone.
Characteristics
The Polestar Phone features a 6.79-inch LTPO OLED BOE display. The screen supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz and has a 2K resolution, as well as a peak brightness of 1250 nits. The new product is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor paired with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage.
The Polestar Phone has stereo speakers, an in-display scanner, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC. The gadget has a triple main camera with a 50 MP main sensor. It is complemented by a 13 MP wide-angle lens and a 10 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom.
The Polestar Phone is powered by a 5050 mAh battery. It supports 80W fast wired charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging. The device has IP68 protection.
Sales of Polestar Phone will start soon. The new product will be available only in China; it is not known what the price will be.
