MediaTek’s new Helio G91 processor for budget smartphones is similar to Helio G88 and Helio G85

MediaTek has introduced a new processor model in its Helio G line, called MediaTek Helio G91. This chip features an improved IPS module and has similar specifications to the Helio G88 and Helio G85 processors.
The new MediaTek Helio G91 includes two Cortex-A75 cores (with a maximum frequency of 2.0 GHz) and six Cortex-A55 cores (with a maximum frequency of 1.8 GHz), as well as a Mali-G52 MC2 graphics accelerator (with a maximum frequency of 1.0 GHz). The chip is manufactured using TSMC’s 12nm process technology.
The main feature of the new processor is support for cameras with a resolution of up to 108 megapixels. The first smartphones equipped with MediaTek Helio G91 are expected on the market in the near future.
