The Motorola Edge 50 smartphone is presented in three models

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra 1

Motorola held a global presentation at which it showed the Edge 50 series smartphones. These are three models – Moto Edge 50 Fusion, Edge 50 and Edge 50 Pro.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion smartphone features a curved 6.7-inch pOLED display with FHD+ resolution. In Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the Edge 50 Fusion models sold have a 144Hz display and a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, while the Latin America model gets a 120Hz panel and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset. Both versions are offered with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

There are two cameras on the back: a 50MP main camera with a LYT-700C sensor and a secondary 13MP ultra-wide camera that also serves as a macro lens. There is a 32 MP selfie camera on the front panel. The new battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh with support for 68 W TurboPower charging. The smartphone runs on Android 14 with Motorola Hello UX custom interface and is also IP68 rated.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion smartphone is available in Forest Blue, Hot Pink and Marshmallow Blue colors. Prices in Europe start from 349 euros.

Motorola Edge 50 Pro

Motorola Edge 50 Pro features a 6.7-inch curved POLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and 2000 nits peak brightness. The display supports HDR 10+. The panel is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and is powered by a 4500 mAh battery. Motorola Edge 50 Pro comes with Android 14 operating system.

As for the cameras, the triple main one has modules of 50 megapixels (with OIS) + 13 megapixels (120° wide-angle lens) + 10 megapixels (telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom) and a 50 megapixel front camera with autofocus. The gadget received support for wired charging at 125 W and wireless charging at 50 W. The new product has IP68 water protection, stereo speakers, NFC and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is equipped with a 6.7-inch POLED screen with a resolution of 1.5K, a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a peak brightness of 2500 nits. The display is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is powered by the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor paired with 12 or 16 GB RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB storage. Out of the box, the device comes with Android 14 operating system.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra

The main camera of the device consists of three sensors of 50 + 50 + 64 megapixels: main, ultra-wide-angle and telephoto with 3x optical and 100x digital zoom. The front camera is also 50 megapixels. The main lens combines pixels into a large 2.4µm ultra-pixel to absorb 20% more light for night photography.

The new product supports Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology, which allows you to find the location of the phone with an accuracy of 10-30 cm. The gadget comes with stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C port (USB 3.2 and DisplayPort 1.4). Thanks to IP68 certification, the smartphone is not afraid of water.

The gadget is powered by a 4500 mAh battery. The smartphone has fast wired charging at 125 W and wireless charging at 50 W.

Prices and terms

In Ukraine, the models are expected in May, and the Edge 50 Ultra in June.
