The Shazam application has received a new feature – Live Activities. This is a lock screen widget that displays song searches in the background.

The innovation is already available to users of iOS devices. By the way, recently the Shazam program also learned to recognize songs that are playing in headphones. Probably, later it will become available on Android.

Although the function of recognizing the audio that is being played is also suitable for this, and if the music is streamed from another device. then it is quite enough to bring the microphone of the smartphone to the earcup of the earphone.

Shazam is owned by Apple. The people of Cupertino bought the developer of the application in December 2017. The deal was completed in September 2018 following regulatory approval.
