The Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine plans to consider a draft law on the liquidation of KRAIL (Commission for Gambling Business) and the transfer of powers to the Ministry of Digital Affairs.
It is about the bill on amendments to some laws of Ukraine regarding the organization and the bill on gambling and lotteries. The new draft law will include regulations on increasing punishment for illegal advertising, online monitoring system and others.
The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, supported the idea of liquidating KRAIL and suggested automating the issuing of a gambling license. The government supported the draft law of the Ministry of Digital Affairs and sent it to the parliament for consideration.
Thus, they want to transfer a sphere that is quite difficult to regulate into the currently fashionable digital field and databases. Where many documents and personal data are already stored.
