Updated maritime drone Sea Baby transports more than a ton of explosives over a distance of 1,110 km
12.03.24
The Security Service of Ukraine demonstrated testing of the first maritime drone, which was produced thanks to a recent large-scale volunteer gathering among Ukrainians. The first sample in this batch is called “Avdeevka” and is an updated Sea Baby marine drone. No matter how active hybrid warfare, technology, including drones, are also crucial.
The new Sea Baby 2024 differs from previous generations in both appearance and technical characteristics. It is capable of carrying more than a ton of explosives over a distance of more than 1,110 km. The updated model has better maneuverability, a longer range and the ability to carry a larger warhead.
The Ukrainian Security Service stated that the new Sea Baby 2024 is a new generation drone that is more lethal to the enemy. It will undergo a full cycle of sea trials, during which the development team will adapt the latest on-board weapons specifically for use on this multi-role platform. Let us recall that previous models of Sea Baby maritime drones were used by the SBU for various operations, including blowing up the Crimean Bridge and defeating Russian warships.
