The investigation into Russian military use of Starlink technology presents serious allegations against SpaceX, the company founded by Elon Musk.

 

According to the Democratic representatives of the US House of Representatives, it is possible for the Russian armed forces to use terminals starlink has caused consternation in the policy community, especially with sanctions and export controls in mind.

 

The letter to SpaceX management raises a number of questions about whether steps were taken to prevent unauthorized access to Starlink technology by the Russian military. SpaceX has until March 20 to provide answers to these requests.

 

Elon Musk previously stated that no Starlink was sold to Russia, but the investigation is still ongoing, and SpaceX’s answers could be key to understanding the situation.
