Soon any Android smartphone can become a webcam for Windows 11
05.03.24Windows 11 and Android users will receive a number of useful innovations thanks to the latest update from Microsoft. The corporation plans to provide the ability to use Android device cameras as webcams for computers running the Windows 11 operating system.
The new feature, which is currently only available to Windows 11 Insiders, allows owners of Android 9 and above devices to easily use their device’s camera as a webcam on a Windows 11 PC by downloading the Link to Windows app.
Users will not only be able to use their Android phone or tablet’s camera in video programs on a Windows 11 PC, but also switch between the rear and front cameras, as well as control the feed and effects similar to those available on regular webcams.
According to Microsoft, this feature is currently in testing among Windows 11 Insiders, but regular users can expect it in an upcoming update.
