Rust developers have banned players from using mice from A4Tech and Bloody
17.12.19
The team of developers of the game Rust (a computer game in the genre of survival simulator) decided to introduce a list of devices prohibited in the game and the first mice were all A4Tech and Bloody mice (a subsidiary brand of A4Tech). When launching the game with these devices, a notification “EAC: Blacklisted device” will be displayed.
The developers explain their decision by saying that some players began to use macros that compensate for the recoil when firing weapons. According to the developers, it is precisely players with mice of these brands who most often use these macros from the memory of the manipulator. Moreover, access to the game is blocked regardless of whether the players used dishonest macros or not, and whether their model even supports the ability to run macros.
The game page contains a list of prohibited computer mice. So far it only contains Bloody and A4Tech brands. However, there is no guarantee that this list will not be replenished with devices from other manufacturers.
