OPPO Bubble: a mirror gadget that makes selfies easier

Taking a selfie with the rear camera is a great way to get a high-quality shot thanks to the advanced optics of the main sensor. However, the lack of a screen makes this process blind framing, and smartphone models with a built-in additional display remain a rare exception. The OPPO company has announced a smart mobile accessory called Bubble, which completely solves this task. This is an original external selfie mirror with a built-in screen for convenient viewing.

The manufacturer describes its new creation not just as a useful option, but as a “legislator of fashion and an indispensable photo assistant.” Essentially, the OPPO Bubble is an external wireless circular panel that displays real-time images from the phone’s rear camera viewfinder. It is enough for the user to fix it in the right angle and he will get the opportunity to build a picture in detail, looking directly into the lenses of the main camera module.

Technical characteristics of the selfie mirror

For the gadget to work, a reliable magnetic connection is provided, with the help of which the device is fixed on the back of the smartphone. However, its technical scenarios are much wider: wireless synchronization with a smartphone maintains a stable connection radius of up to 10 meters.

When OPPO Bubble is not performing the role of a selfie display, decorative wallpapers are broadcast on the screen (the collection presents simple static and dynamic animated pictures). Together with the device, the manufacturer produces a proprietary system of straps and cases for customization.

The product is positioned as a fashion accessory that can be turned into an elegant key ring. Its dimensions are clearly illustrated, but the manufacturer has not yet disclosed detailed weight and size characteristics.

To date, the official price tag for the new product is still kept secret. However, the pre-order button in China is already available for those who want to be among the first to reserve the accessory.
