Bigme HiBreak Dual 3 Debuts with E Ink Display and Detachable LCD Module
28.08.26
Just one month after the presentation of the second version, Bigme has officially introduced the HiBreak Dual 3. The new device continues the concept of a hybrid smartphone that combines the benefits of an energy-efficient E Ink display with a standard LCD panel for dynamic content.
What Is the Bigme HiBreak Dual 3?
The Bigme HiBreak Dual 3 is a smartphone that attempts to solve the dilemma of choosing between an e-reader and a conventional phone. From the front, the model resembles a compact e-reader, while the back looks like a standard smartphone. The main difference of the new model is a more modern body aesthetic.

Key Specifications and Screen Features
The smartphone is equipped with a color-capable E Ink matrix, which reaches an impressive 85Hz refresh rate for this technology. Support for a stylus is implemented for working with documents and creating handwritten notes. A unique feature is the magnetic module with an LCD display: it attaches to the back panel using magnets and metal contacts, through which charging occurs. This module is optimized for watching videos and navigating social media, where E Ink traditionally falls short in terms of response time and brightness.
Hardware Platform
Inside the smartphone are current-level components:
- Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 8300
- RAM: 12 GB to 16 GB
- Storage: 256 GB to 512 GB
- Software: Pre-installed Android 16 OS
- Connectivity: 5G Dual-SIM support
Camera and Design
On the back panel, there is a minimalist oval camera module featuring a single lens and an LED flash. This minimalism emphasizes the device’s main concept, which is focused on functionality and reading.
Price and Availability
As of the publication date, August 27, 2026, the manufacturer has not yet disclosed the exact release date or the retail price of the device. It is only known that the release is expected “in the near future,” and additional details will be announced before pre-orders begin. In Ukraine, Bigme is popular for its reliable e-readers, but its smartphones remain something of an exotic curiosity.
Expert Opinion
The smartphone is aimed at users who spend a lot of time reading and working with text but require the full functionality of a smartphone for multimedia consumption. The presence of a detachable LCD screen makes the model versatile, but the final decision should be made after information regarding the device’s price is released and the first performance reviews of the 85Hz E Ink display in real-world scenarios are available.
