ColorOS 16 Update Brings AI Collage Tools and Enhanced Security

Oppo has begun rolling out the August update for its ColorOS 16 operating system. The update provides users with a suite of innovative tools, ranging from artificial intelligence enhancements to expanded system management features.

What Is New in ColorOS 16 This August?

Key additions include the AI Remix Collage feature, security system upgrades, home screen changes, and the integration of currency converter widgets. Furthermore, the built-in Notes app has received a significant overhaul.

Intelligent Features and Photo Editing

The AI Remix Collage feature now includes “Smart Cutout.” This allows users to create stickers or professional-grade collages with granular layer control directly on their smartphone.

Security and System Management

The update significantly boosts data protection. The Security and Phone Manager apps have received new algorithms to quickly block suspicious activity. The system can now automatically identify and block malicious pop-ups and applications that cause excessive battery drain. Users receive real-time notifications for all detected threats.

Interface Features and Widgets

Developers have added a convenient notification management system: users can now clear all notification badges instantly with a simple pinch gesture. For quick calculations, new 2×2 and 4×2 Currency Converter widgets are now available, displaying up-to-date exchange rates.

Notes App Improvements

The Notes toolset is now much more functional: users can draw, highlight, and add annotations directly on top of images inserted into their notes.
