History of the DeepStateMap project
The DeepStateUA telegram channel was created in March 2020, during the quarantine period due to Covid-19. The community focused primarily on international geopolitical news, covering the war in Syria, the US crisis over BLM protests, the military insurgency in Mali, etc.
On the night of February 23-24, 2022, a few hours before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the telegram channel’s audience crossed the 10,000 subscriber mark
DeepStateMap was originally developed from Google Maps, but Google pulled the plug on the map in mid-March. After the appearance of many third-party applications posing as official ones from the DeepStateUA team, their own application on Android was launched on March 2, 2023. In less than 10 days, it reached 100,000 downloads
