Counter-Strike 2 is now available for free on Steam

Counter-Strike 2

Last week, Valve gently asked gamers what their plans were for Wednesday. And then the release of Counter-Strike 2 took place.

In the Steam client, the second version of the game automatically replaced the existing first one and is ready for installation. It is available for free to all Steam users.

CS:GO servers are disabled, so fans of the shooter will have to get used to the innovations of Counter-Strike 2.

The main innovation of Counter-Strike 2 can be called the transition to the Source 2 engine. The game received improved graphics and sound subsystem, updated maps and server architecture.

All items from the CS:GO inventory have been transferred to Counter-Strike 2. More detailed information is available on the project page on Steam.
