According to Take-Two’s financial forecast, GTA VI will not be released until April 2025
12.02.24
After a long wait by fans of the series, an official announcement was made in December about the launch of the GTA VI game, set for 2025. This was confirmed by Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, in a recent quarterly financial report. However, a specific release date remains unknown for now, although the release window has recently been narrowed down a bit.
Take-Two’s updated forecast for the 2024/25 financial year suggests a potential delay in GTA VI’s release until at least April 2025. The game will be available on Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 upon release.
Industry analysts Nick McKay and Michael Pachter of Wedbush Securities believe this indicates that GTA VI may not be released until the start of the next fiscal year, which is April 1, 2025. They note that the drop in orders makes it unlikely that the game will be released in the next fiscal year. However, they do not rule out that the game could be released later that year.
