Poco M8 Power Debuts With Massive 8000mAh Battery and Snapdragon 4 Gen 4

Today, August 12, Poco officially introduced the long-awaited Poco M8 Power smartphone. The device is the fourth model in the M8 lineup and stands out from the competition primarily due to its massive battery life, thanks to an 8000mAh capacity.
The standout technical feature of the gadget is the 8000mAh battery. The manufacturer promises up to 28 hours of video playback, 14 hours of gaming, or 31 hours of social media usage. The smartphone supports 45W wired charging and 22.5W reverse charging.
Display and Design
The Poco M8 Power is equipped with a 6.9-inch FullHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, and an under-display fingerprint scanner ensures secure access. The device measures 8.45mm in thickness and weighs 225g, coming in three color options: Blaze Orange, Black, and Green.
Performance and Software
The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor. Configurations with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM are available, along with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card. It runs on the HyperOS 3 shell based on Android 16. A significant bonus is the extended support: four generations of Android updates and six years of security updates are promised.
Cameras and Functionality
Photography capabilities are provided by a 50MP Light Fusion 400 primary sensor and an 8MP front-facing camera. The build is rated for IP65 dust and water resistance, and it includes a modern USB-C port and a dedicated slot for a microSD card.
Pricing and Availability
The Poco M8 Power is set to launch in the Indian market on August 7. Pricing starts at 24,999 Indian rupees (approximately $299). The version with 8GB of RAM will cost 27,999 rupees (approximately $335). The model is expected to hit retail channels in Ukraine in the very near future.
