Xiaomi stops supporting smartphones: the Xiaomi 12 series, POCO X5 and other models came under the knife
05.07.26
Xiaomi has officially updated the list of devices that have reached the end of the software support period (End-of-Life, EOL). This means that a number of popular models will no longer receive Android updates, HyperOS skins, bug fixes or critical security patches.
What does end of support for Xiaomi (EOL) mean
For owners of devices included in the EOL list, the full support cycle ends. While smartphones will continue to function as normal, the lack of new security updates makes them more vulnerable to threats. The company is also stopping work on optimizing performance and introducing new features. Therefore, users are advised to consider upgrading to the latest models.
Which Xiaomi, POCO and Redmi devices are on the list
The updated list includes devices from the premium and mid-range segments. Some of them have long completed their cycle of receiving major OS updates in accordance with the original support policy.
Full list of added models:
- Xiaomi 12 (global versions and regional modifications)
- Xiaomi 12 Pro (global versions and regional modifications)
- Xiaomi 12S Ultra (China version)
- Xiaomi Pad 6 (China version)
- Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro (China version)
- POCO X5 5G (regional version for Turkey)
- POCO X5 Pro 5G (Indonesia regional version)
- Redmi Note 12T Pro (China version)
- Redmi K60E (China version)
- Redmi 10 5G (EEA version)

Is it worth continuing to use these devices?
Smartphones added to the EOL list remain working tools, but Xiaomi will not fix newly discovered system vulnerabilities. For those who are concerned about the security of personal data and the latest software, updating your device to a newer version is a logical step.
A more detailed and up-to-date list of all supported and officially “outdated” gadgets can always be found on Xiaomi EOL official page.
