Ukrainian Games Festival 2026: Your Guide to the Ultimate Steam Sale
18.08.26
The fifth Ukrainian Games Festival has officially arrived on Steam. The event is organized by the publishing agency Palaye as part of an initiative launched in 2022 to support and develop the Ukrainian gaming industry. The scale of the event is impressive: this year, the festival features over 680 projects, offering users both established hits and fresh demos.
The festival runs through August 24. A prominent event banner will be featured on the main page of the Steam store until August 21, ensuring players don’t miss out on deep discounts for hundreds of games from Ukrainian developers.
New Releases, Demos, and Announcements
A highlight of the program is UGF Direct, a special video showcase featuring over 60 trailers for upcoming Ukrainian games. The stream is available to watch via the Steam client or the official YouTube channel.
For those who want to try projects personally, organizers have prepared over 170 free demos. These include both highly anticipated releases and indie titles making their public debut. The genre variety caters to all tastes:
- Steel Core by Starni Games: A tactical strategy game where managing giant mechs is the key to success.
- Horror games with unique mechanics: Sarco and Fog’n’Silence by Hello Andromeda offer distinct approaches to survival.
- Atmospheric projects: The horror game I Hear the Forest by Podoba Interactive immerses players in the mysterious world of the Ukrainian Polissya and its mythical creatures.
- Diverse genres: Ranging from the space station simulator Saturn 94 to the narrative puzzle-shooter Hear My Light and the visual novel Tulpa: the Unseen Lover.
Release Schedule
Organizers have placed significant emphasis on premieres. Several titles became available to players on the festival’s opening day:
- The picturesque adventure Tukoni: Forest Keepers.
- The resource management strategy PROFITS 2167 (Planetary Resource Optimization & Freight Infrastructure Technician Simulator).
In the coming days, festival participants can look forward to new releases, including The Sinking City 2, Last Pirates: Die Together, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope. Additionally, developers will be sharing news, content updates, and announcements throughout the week.
The Ukrainian Games Festival 2026 is an excellent opportunity not only to support local developers by grabbing games at a discount but also to discover unique projects through hundreds of free demos. A nice bonus for players is the widespread support for the Ukrainian language in many of the featured titles. To see the full list of offerings, visit the dedicated festival page on Steam.
