Huawei Watch D3 Surfaces in Certification Database Ahead of Launch

Huawei is preparing for a global update to its wearable device lineup. Recent certification confirms the imminent release of a new high-tech device—the Huawei Watch D3, capable of measuring blood pressure.

What Is Known About the Huawei Watch D3?

The new device was recorded in the Indonesian SDPPI database. The documentation confirms the preparation of two smartwatch modifications, carrying model numbers RIV-B10 and RIV-B11. Currently, there are no technical details in the database to differentiate these two versions, but the presence of two indices suggests potential configuration variations.

Wrist-Based Blood Pressure Monitoring Features

The Huawei Watch D3 will be a direct successor to the Watch D2, known for its blood pressure monitoring function using a specialized cuff. Against competitors like Apple Watch Series 11, Samsung Galaxy Watch9, and Pixel Watch 5 (currently priced at $399 on Amazon), the solution from Huawei remains one of the few providing full-scale hardware-level blood pressure control. The Watch D2, launched globally in 2024, set a high standard, and the D3 is expected to deliver equal precision and performance.

When to Expect the Announcement?

Huawei has officially confirmed a major international event for September 2 in Munich, held under the ‘Chase the Wild’ slogan. While the main focus may be on the Watch GT 7 and Watch GT 7 Pro series, there is a high probability that the Watch D3 will be part of the company’s autumn portfolio and will hit the shelves as early as next month.

Is It Worth the Purchase?

If monitoring your cardiovascular health with a medically certified device—rather than relying on the algorithmic estimates found in competitor products—is critical to you, the upcoming Huawei Watch D3 will be the only logical upgrade for owners of previous Watch D generations. Wait for the official event on September 2 to get the detailed specification list.
