TCL Q95K: flagship 11.1.4-channel soundbar with a power of 1420 W

TCL Q95K: flagship 11.1.4-channel Bang & Olufsen

TCL expands the capabilities of home multimedia systems by introducing the flagship soundbar Q95K. This 11.1.4-channel solution with a whopping 1420W peak output power is designed for both quality movie viewing and modern gaming sessions. Instead of software virtualization, the manufacturer emphasized the use of real physical emitters.

22 speakers and deep bass

The Q95K system is a complex of four components: the main soundbar unit, a dedicated subwoofer and a pair of rear speakers. In total, the system uses 22 emitters distributed over 16 channels, which provides full immersion in Dolby Atmos and DTS:X standards. The device is designed for users who require accurate reproduction of the sound space.

The acoustics are based on aluminum diffusers with neodymium magnets capable of operating in the range from 30 Hz to 20 kHz. The subwoofer is equipped with two 7-inch drivers of opposition: this design minimizes parasitic vibrations of the case even at peak loads at low frequencies.

Hardware

Setting up the sound profile was entrusted to Bang Olufsen engineers. Thanks to the use of the Beosonic mobile interface, users can flexibly control the sound according to their preferences. MediaTek MT8532 controls 12 separate amplifiers, ensuring stable operation of the audio system. Such a solution guarantees effective power isolation of different groups of speakers and excludes cross interference, ensuring sound purity.

Interface capabilities and gaming

The TCL Q95K is ideal for connecting with current consoles and powerful gaming PCs. The system is equipped with three HDMI 2.1 ports with a bandwidth of 48 Gbit/s, which allows you to output 4K video at a frequency of 144 Hz. Additionally, modern technologies are supported: VRR (variable refresh rate), ALLM (automatic low latency mode) and HDMI eARC. The wireless segment includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth and AirPlay 2 support.

Versions and prices for the Q-series range

In addition to the flagship Q95K, the company showed two more compact systems — Q85K and Q75K. Summarized information on the cost of novelties in currency equivalent is presented below.

Cost and technical differences of TCL models

Model Channels Speakers Power Price ($) Price (€, ₴)
TCL Q95K 11.1.4 22 1420 W $1034 €955 (43,500 ₴)
TCL Q85K 7.1.2 16 1180 W $886 €818 (37,200 ₴)
TCL Q75K 7.1.2 14 580 W $694 €641 (29,100 ₴)

The TCL Q95K is worth buying if you want an all-in-one system that supports new video and audio formats without compromise. T-Chord’s hardware synchronization with TCL TVs, automatic room calibration capabilities and proven sound signature from Bang Olufsen make the device a serious competitor in the home theater market. Sales are currently limited to the Chinese market.
