Nokia 300 Charge Packs Massive Battery and Reverse Charging Button

HMD Global is continuing its push for extended battery life with the introduction of the Nokia 300 Charge. This phone stands out from traditional models not just for its design, but for its impressive 3700 mAh battery, which is double the capacity of standard devices in this class.

What Is the Nokia 300 Charge?

The new device is designed as a functional handset with the added ability to power other gadgets. Thanks to a USB-C port, the phone charges at 10W. The device’s standout feature is a dedicated physical “Out” button on the side; when pressed, the phone switches to power bank mode, delivering 10W to charge other devices.

For comparison: the Nokia 110 Power has a 1750 mAh battery, while the popular Nokia 105 (2023) is limited to a modest 1000 mAh. The manufacturer claims the 300 Charge can last up to 40 days on standby, with talk time reaching 37 hours.

Specifications and Features

Despite its longevity, the Nokia 300 Charge remains a highly specialized device with very limited functionality. The phone only supports 2G networks (900 MHz and 1800 MHz bands), rendering it unusable in many countries worldwide. However, it remains functional in Ukraine, where 2G is not expected to be phased out in the near future.

  • Display: 2.4-inch LCD, 320 x 240 pixel resolution.
  • Hardware: Unisoc SC6531E chipset, 4MB RAM, and 4MB internal storage.
  • Expansion: MicroSD card support up to 32GB.
  • Camera: 320 x 240 pixel sensor.
  • Dimensions: 136.6 mm height, 55 mm width, 14.94 mm thickness, 138 g weight.
  • Interfaces: 3.5mm headphone jack.
  • Features: Powerful flashlight (brighter than those on the Nokia 105 and iPhone 16 Pro).

Design and Durability

The phone features an aggressive, angular design with textured side panels. It is available in Sandstone and Green. Notably, despite its “rugged” look, the device lacks official water or drop resistance certifications. If you require a device for extreme conditions, consider the Nokia 123 Shield (IP65) or HMD Terra M (IP69K).

Pricing

The device is available in the Philippines and Malaysia markets as the Nokia 300 Charge or Nokia 300 Power Bank. We have previously covered this device. Interestingly, HMD initially announced up to 44 days of battery life, though this figure has been updated to 40.

Nokia 300 Charge Price

Region / Store Price
Lazada (Philippines) 2190 PHP ($35 / €30)
Shopee (Philippines) 1990 PHP ($31.8 / €27.2)
Shopee (Malaysia) 148 MYR ($37 / €31)

Where to Buy the Nokia 300

Nowhere, unfortunately. Despite the announcements, the Nokia 300 is not currently spotted at any retailers. Purchasing the Nokia 300 Charge is certainly justified if you need a budget feature phone. High autonomy and the power-sharing function are its main advantages, making it a compelling choice for specific users. It is worth waiting for the phone to hit local stores.
