05.06.22
Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) has published a list of goods prohibited for export to Russia and Belarus.
The ban includes microprocessors and microcircuits that meet the following conditions:
- clock frequencies exceed 25 MHz;
- performance reaches 5 gigaflops and higher, and the arithmetic-logical unit has an access capacity of 32 bits or more;
- more than one data or command bus or one serial communication port providing direct external interconnection between chips at a transfer rate of 2.5 MB/s.
It is also prohibited to import chips that have more than 144 pins or a gate delay time of less than 0.4 ns. Thus, there will be no technological systems of a modern level of productivity in Russia.
The supply of wafer production equipment using photo-optical or x-ray methods, including lithography equipment, is prohibited. The supply of electronic scanning microscopes for automatic inspection of semiconductor devices is prohibited.
