Redmi Smart TV A50 – smart TV for budget smartphone price
19.03.26
Redmi introduced a new version of the Redmi Smart TV A50 Level 1 Energy Efficiency Edition. This is an updated 50-inch model with improved image parameters and the maximum energy efficiency class.
Energy Efficiency Rating
The main feature of the device is the Level 1 energy efficiency class, which is considered the highest in the Chinese certification system. This indicator means reduced energy consumption both during operation and in standby mode.
The company positions the model as a solution for users who want to reduce electricity costs without giving up watching 4K content on a large screen.
50-inch screen with a frequency of 144 Hz
The TV received a 50-inch panel with a resolution of 3840×2160 (4K) and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. This indicator is especially relevant for sports broadcasts, dynamic films and video games.
The model uses direct LED backlighting, and True Tone technology automatically adjusts the color temperature of the image depending on the lighting in the room. This should make the picture more comfortable for the eyes during prolonged viewing.
Sound and software platform
Two 10W speakers are responsible for the sound, which provide basic stereo sound.
The software platform is used by Xiaomi in its ecosystem of devices. It provides a quick interface and integration of the TV with other brand devices, including smartphones and smart home elements.
Hardware and connectors
The TV is based on a quad-core Cortex-A35 processor. The device is equipped with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of built-in storage.
For connecting external devices, the following are provided:
- two HDMI ports
- USB-A
- AV input
- Ethernet
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi
This set allows you to connect game consoles, set-top boxes, storage devices and a wired network connection.
Price and availability
In China, the cost of the Redmi Smart TV A50 Level 1 Energy Efficiency Edition is about $200.
It is expected that the TV will appear on the international market later. At the same time, the price will probably be slightly higher, although the model will still remain in the segment of affordable devices.
