Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition: Active Cooling Meets Flagship Power

Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition: Active Cooling Meets Flagship Power

Huawei has expanded its flagship lineup with the Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition, a unique version equipped with an integrated active cooling fan. The smartphone is already available for pre-order on the Chinese market through the official Vmall store.

While official technical documentation is still pending, industry experts expect a full reveal on March 23. This event is likely to coincide with the premiere of the Huawei Enjoy 90 series in China.

Visually, the Wind Edition retains the silhouette of the base model but introduces a broader camera module ring. This design change incorporates specialized vents necessary for the internal fan’s airflow to maintain peak performance.

To integrate the cooling hardware, Huawei adjusted the optics, moving from a quad-camera array to a triple-sensor configuration. The device is offered in Polar Night Black and Polar Day Gold, with memory configurations of 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB.

Core specifications are expected to match the standard Mate 80 Pro Max, featuring a 6.9-inch AMOLED LTPO screen and the Kirin 9030 Pro processor. The 6,000mAh battery supports 100W wired and 80W wireless fast charging.
