OLED Monitor Market Surges 98%: Asus Leads as Samsung Slips
15.08.26
The global market for OLED monitors is experiencing rapid growth. According to a report by the analytics firm TrendForce, shipments in the second quarter of 2026 increased by 26.1% quarter-over-quarter and by 98% year-over-year. Key drivers for this surge include the launch of new models, high demand during China’s “618” sales festival, and the popularity of 27-inch QHD OLED solutions.
Market Leaders and Positioning
Asus firmly maintains its position as the global leader among OLED monitor manufacturers. The company’s market share reached 23.1% in the second quarter of 2026. This success was driven by an effective sales strategy in the Chinese market and high demand within the internet café segment.
Samsung retained second place with a 13.1% share, though its position has notably weakened. A gradual withdrawal from the Chinese market limited the manufacturer’s ability to capitalize on seasonal demand growth. As a result, Samsung’s lead over its nearest competitor has narrowed to a critical 0.3 percentage points.
The Battle for Second Place
MSI is aggressively pressuring its competitors, securing third place with a 12.8% market share. Successful promotional activities during the “618” sales event suggest that the company could soon challenge Samsung for the runner-up spot.
Market Share of Key OLED Monitor Players
| Brand | Market Share (%) |
| Asus | 23.1 |
| Samsung | 13.1 |
| MSI | 12.8 |
| AOC | 8.6 |
| LG Electronics | 8.4 |
Outlook for Other Brands
AOC and LG Electronics hold fourth and fifth places with shares of 8.6% and 8.4%, respectively. AOC found success through an aggressive update to its 27-inch QHD monitor lineup, while LG focuses on the premium segment, specifically with 39-inch WUHD models.
TrendForce analysts emphasize that the increased availability of OLED panels is fostering the growth of smaller brands. The top five manufacturers currently control 66% of the market, while the remaining companies account for 34%.
Given the rapid expansion of OLED technology into gaming and premium monitor segments, experts expect competition to intensify. The mass transition to organic light-emitting diodes is becoming a critical industry trend that will shape the market landscape through the end of the year.
