Games of August 2026 in PlayStation Plus: What's New from Sony

The August PlayStation Plus catalog update brings a substantial list of titles to users. The selection includes both highly anticipated AAA projects and engaging indie games, available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles.

Catalog Update

Service subscribers will have access to a diverse range of genres, from intense squad-based shooters to historical RPGs and large-scale open-world adventures.

  • Helldivers 2 (PS5): A squad-based shooter where players join elite units to defend the galaxy from an alien threat.
  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (PS5): The continuation of Henry of Skalitz’s story. Gamers will journey from a blacksmith’s forge to the royal court in a medieval setting.
  • Vampire Survivors (PS5, PS4): A gothic rogue-lite game where you must survive against waves of thousands of monsters.
  • Hell is Us (PS5): A third-person adventure in a semi-open world with a focus on melee combat and exploring a war-torn country.
  • Umamusume Pretty Derby – Party Dash (PS4): An energetic competitive game featuring four sports disciplines.
  • Two Point Museum (PS5): A management simulator where players take on the role of a museum curator collecting rare artifacts on expeditions.
  • Metro Exodus (PS5, PS4): An atmospheric post-apocalyptic shooter with an emphasis on exploring non-linear levels.
  • Dying Light 2 (PS5, PS4): A zombie survival game set in a massive open city that demands parkour skills and combat mastery.

Premium tier subscribers get access to two additional projects:

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams (PS5, PS4) — An exciting action game set in feudal Japan, where history intertwines with mystical powers following the disappearance of Nobunaga.

Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire (PS5, PS4) — A nostalgic adventure featuring Milo Thatch, based on the quest to find the legendary sunken civilization.

Release Date

The majority of the library will be available on August 18, 2026. The only exception is Helldivers 2, which is already available in the catalog for PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers and above. This list of additions demonstrates Sony’s commitment to enriching the service with relevant games that combine high-budget titles and quality classics for players of all styles.
