Huawei Preps Non-Folding 16:10 Smartphone with Massive Battery

Новый широкоформатный смартфон от Huawei: раскрыта дата выхода и характеристики

Huawei continues to experiment with device form factors. Following the success of the Pura X, the company is preparing to release a new smartphone that lacks a folding mechanism but features an unconventional 16:10 screen aspect ratio. This form factor promises to bring a fresh perspective to the mobile market.

Huawei Wide-Format Smartphone Release Date

According to recent reports, the new smartphone is expected to be unveiled as early as September. Initially, the device was projected to launch between October and December, but the timeline has been moved up, with development completed ahead of schedule.

Technical Specifications and Hardware

The device will feature a powerful hardware base that meets modern flagship requirements. Key hardware features include:

  • Kirin 9 series chipset.
  • Battery capacity of at least 7,000 mAh.

The smartphone is aimed at power users who need long-lasting battery life and high computing performance.

Camera Capabilities

The camera system is one of the key advantages of the upcoming device. The photo module setup will include:

  • 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.3-inch optical sensor.
  • 50 MP periscope telephoto lens.
  • Multispectral camera.

Comparison with Oppo’s Plans

Huawei is not the only company interested in non-standard displays. It has been revealed that Oppo is working on its own device with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The Oppo gadget will reportedly feature a 6.3 to 6.4-inch display, a flagship processor, and a triple camera system with a periscope module. A launch is expected in the first half of next year.

Target Audience for Wide-Format Non-Folding Smartphones

Given the combination of a 16:10 wide-format display, a massive 7,000 mAh battery, and an advanced camera system, the device may carve out a niche for media consumption. If you value non-standard screen proportions and high performance, this model is definitely worth watching for after its official announcement in September.
