Xiaomi Watch S5: AMOLED 2500 nits and HyperOS 3 in a thin steel case
31.05.26
Xiaomi has expanded its presence in the European wearable electronics market and introduced the flagship model Watch S5. The novelty came out against the background of the release of smartphones of the 17T and 17T Pro series and continues the company’s strategy of combining devices into a single ecosystem.
Metal case without excessive massiveness
At the heart of the Xiaomi Watch S5 is a stainless steel case, which gives the device a premium look, but at the same time does not make it heavy. The thickness of the watch is only 10.99 mm, and the weight without a strap is 46 grams, which looks quite compact for a metal case.
Protection according to the 5ATM standard allows you to use the device in the pool and in the rain without additional restrictions.
AMOLED screen up to 2500 threads: reading in any light
One of the key features was a 1.48-inch AMOLED panel with a peak brightness of up to 2500 nits. This indicator is designed for use in bright sunlight, where most screens lose contrast and readability.
The display is focused not only on notifications, but also on active scenarios – sports, navigation and quick access to data without the need to look at the screen.
HyperOS 3 and autonomy up to 21 days

The watch runs on HyperOS 3, which increasingly connects Xiaomi devices into a single digital environment – from smartphones and headphones to smart home and car systems.
The main practical argument of the model is autonomy. The 815 mAh battery provides up to three weeks of operation without recharging, which puts the Watch S5 in the category of devices where a charger ceases to be a daily necessity.
Navigation, health and sports functions
For geolocation, an updated dual-band GNSS system with support for five satellite networks is used, which increases the accuracy of tracking in difficult conditions – in the city, forest or densely built-up areas.
The set of sensors includes:
- heart rate monitor;
- SpO2 sensor;
- barometer;
- monitoring of sleep and stress level.
The sports part covers more than 150 activity modes. At the same time, special emphasis is placed on cyclists: the watch supports the connection of external power sensors via Bluetooth, which brings their functionality closer to professional sports solutions.
Versions and costs

Xiaomi Watch S5 is already available in Europe in several versions:
- €179.99 — basic Black and Silver versions with fluororubber strap;
- €199.99 — designer versions in Ceramic Blue and Jungle Green with leather or combination straps.
As a result, the Watch S5 is positioned as a universal flagship smart watch that balances premium design, high autonomy and advanced sports capabilities.
