XElectron PocketBeam: a mini projector on Android 13 at the price of a smartphone
01.04.26
XElectron has introduced the PocketBeam, a portable projector that turns any surface into a screen, works independently, and requires no complicated setup.
Small size – big capabilities
The XElectron PocketBeam looks slightly bigger than a power bank but can project images up to 150 inches diagonally. The device resolution is 1280 x 720 pixels, with support for 1080p content. This means Full HD content can be displayed, but not in its original quality. For evening movie or series viewing in a dim room, this is more than sufficient.
LED brightness reaches 6000 lumens, and contrast is 5000:1. The projector comes with automatic keystone correction and remote focus adjustment, saving users from lengthy manual alignment.
Smart features and autonomy
PocketBeam runs Android 13, so no laptops or external boxes are needed: Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, and other services work straight out of the box. For internet connectivity, it supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4/5 GHz), and for headphones, Bluetooth 5.0. Users can also mirror their smartphones via Miracast or AirPlay.
The 3200 mAh battery provides up to two hours of use — enough for a full-length movie. Charging is done via USB-C, allowing the device to be powered by an external battery, ideal for trips or outdoor use.
Compactness and convenience
Weighing only 0.6 kg, the projector is highly portable. Its LED light source is rated for 40,000 hours. While it has a built-in speaker, connecting external audio will provide a better experience. PocketBeam is easy to take on vacation or use at home without cluttering space.
Availability and price
In India, the device costs around $100 (approx. 4400 UAH). It’s an affordable option for those who want to try a portable projector format without a large investment while still enjoying reliable multimedia functionality.
