Vivo X Fold6: a flagship with a folding screen, a 200 MP camera and a record-capacity battery

The vivo X Fold6 smartphone is a significant step forward compared to the X Fold5 model. The developers focused on a radical increase in autonomy and a serious update of the camera system, betting on a productive processor and premium materials.

What’s new in vivo X Fold6?

The key features of the device were the integration of a huge 7000 mAh battery and the introduction of a 200-megapixel main camera. The model is positioned as an uncompromising tool for those who need maximum performance and high-quality mobile shooting in the format of a folding smartphone.

The technical equipment of the gadget includes high-resolution displays: a 6.5-inch external LTPO AMOLED screen with a brightness of up to 5000 threads and a main 8.02-inch screen with a resolution of 2312 x 2504 pixels. Both screens work with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.

Characteristics of cameras

The camera system, configured in cooperation with Zeiss, demonstrates outstanding performance:

• Primary: 200 MP (Samsung HPB sensor, 1/1.4″, f/1.7, OIS, PDAF).
• Ultra-wide: 50 MP (1/2.76″, 119˚, f/2.1).
• Periscopic lens: 50MP (Sony LYT602 sensor, 70mm, f/2.6, OIS, 3x optical zoom).

Of particular note is the support for the additional vivo ZEISS G2 teleconverter, which extends the focal length to 200 mm. For video communication and selfies, 20-megapixel front sensors are provided on each of the screens.

Productivity and autonomy

The smartphone is built on the basis of a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super chip combined with LPDDR5X Ultra standard memory and UFS 4.1 storage. The built-in 7000mAh Si-C battery leads the class, supporting 80W wired charging and 40W wireless charging.

Price and available colors

The price of a smartphone in China varies depending on the memory configuration. The price for the basic version (12/256 GB) is about UAH 47,450 ($1,175), while the top model with 16 GB/1 TB will cost about UAH 71,220 ($1,763).

The device is made in a protected case (IP58/IP59) and is available in three colors: blue, white and black.
