The United States is already testing units of armed robot dogs in the MTR.

The US Maritime Special Operations Command (MARSOC) is introducing armed robotic rifles, so-called robot dogs, equipped with four-legged unmanned ground vehicles Vision 60 (Q-UGV). These systems, developed by Philadelphia-based Ghost Robotics, have been on the Department of Defense’s test field for a long time.
Q-UGV tests conducted over several years using artificial intelligence and data analysis are aimed at identifying potential threats. Now MARSOC intends to expand the functionality of the robot, giving it the ability to perform offensive operations. Robot dogs can be used for a wide range of tasks, including tunnel work and perimeter security.
Known for its light weight and compact size, the Vision 60 offers excellent portability and durability. Drones are equipped with artificial intelligence, which allows them to adapt to different conditions and tasks.

In recent years, testing of the Vision 60 by the US Department of Defense has revealed advantages in control and reliability. However, some technical issues were noted, such as the difficulty keeping the drone upright on slippery surfaces and the need to optimize operating modes for different conditions.
