Tecno Pova 8 Pro Debuts With Alive Matrix Display and P1 Gaming Chip

Tecno Pova 8 Pro is a new gaming smartphone designed to deliver high performance and unique visual effects. The key feature of the device is the integration of a dedicated P1 graphics chip, which uses frame interpolation technology to reach 144FPS in FPS and MOBA games, as well as 90FPS in RPG titles.

At the core of the device is a Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
Display and Specifications
The smartphone is equipped with an impressive 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, featuring a peak brightness of 4500 nits and a resolution of 2644×1208 pixels. Advanced features include a 2800Hz touch sampling rate and support for operation even with wet or oily fingers.
Design and Alive Matrix Display
Located on the back is the Alive Matrix Display, a customizable mini-LED panel integrated into the triangular camera module. The chassis design, dubbed “Interstellar Spaceship,” is inspired by the aesthetics of spacecraft.

Technical specs are rounded out by stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, a 5000mm2 VC cooling system, IP66/68/69/69K protection, and a 6500mAh battery with 45W charging support.
Version Comparison and Memory Options
In addition to the standard model, Tecno has released a limited edition: the Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition. Technically, the smartphones are identical, with differences limited to the exterior design.

- 12GB / 256GB
- 12GB / 512GB

Release Date and Pricing
The official launch for the standard version in India is scheduled for August 18. As of publication, the manufacturer has not disclosed official pricing. It is worth noting that the device runs HiOS 16 (based on Android 16) with a guaranteed two-OS upgrade cycle and three years of security patches.
