OnePlus Readies Budget Smartphone for India
22.08.26
OnePlus’s recent decision to cease operations in the North American and European markets marked a turning point in the brand’s history. However, the company was quick to reassure Indian users that business development in the country remains a key priority. Continuing its focus on affordable solutions, the brand plans to expand its device lineup following the success of the OnePlus N6x model.
Renowned insider Yogesh Brar has shared details about the upcoming newcomer, claiming that OnePlus is preparing a new budget device for release. According to the information, the device will lack 5G support and be limited to fourth-generation network connectivity.

What to Expect from the Final Release of the Year
According to insider information, the smartphone is set to debut as early as next month and will be an exclusive offering for the Indian market. This could mark OnePlus’s final release of the current calendar year, rounding out the budget gadget segment.
While detailed technical specifications remain under wraps, experts suggest the new device may join the popular N series. Most likely, the device will serve as a simplified 4G version of the N6x smartphone. For reference: the current OnePlus N6x features a Dimensity 6360 Apex processor, a massive 7000 mAh battery, a 6.8-inch LCD screen, and a 13-megapixel main camera.
Market Context and Availability
For the average consumer in India, the arrival of another budget-level model signals intensified competition in the low-end price segment. OnePlus is attempting to adapt to market needs where 4G accessibility and high battery life remain critical for most users who prefer balanced devices.
While OnePlus is not officially sold in Ukraine, the model may eventually appear on marketplaces via gray-market importers. Previous OnePlus devices are currently easy to purchase. Furthermore, the parent conglomerate BBK Electronics, which owns both OnePlus and Oppo, frequently releases OnePlus twins under the Oppo brand, which is widely available in Ukraine.
