Lenovo has officially released the updated ThinkPad E16 Gen 4 AMD to the global market, expanding availability for a device previously limited to select regions. The new model succeeds the ThinkPad E16 Gen 3, offering users improved specifications and enhanced energy efficiency.

The Lenovo ThinkPad E16 Gen 4 is positioned as a reliable business laptop. Initially announced on the PSREF website in May, the lineup offers a wide range of processor options from the AMD Krackan Point 2 and Gorgon Point families. Following its launch in Australia, Asia, and parts of Europe, this global release allows users worldwide to purchase one of the most accessible 16-inch models in the ThinkPad series.
Key Specifications
The new model is equipped with a modern 16-inch IPS display featuring a variable refresh rate of up to 120 Hz (VRR). It is powered by AMD Ryzen AI series processors, such as the Ryzen AI 7 345. The laptop comes with at least 16 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a minimum 512 GB M.2 2242 SSD.
Battery and Endurance
One of the main features is the support for a 64Wh battery (available as an option in select markets), which Lenovo claims provides over 24 hours of battery life in the JEITA-BAT 3.0 test at 200 nits brightness, and about 23 hours of video playback at 150 nits. The base model in the U.S. ships only with a 48Wh battery.

Device pricing varies by region:
- USA: starting from $1,139.
- UK: starting from £1,037.
- Eurozone: from €953 to €1,718.
Additional upgrade costs include £170 / €150 to move from a Ryzen AI 5 330 to a Ryzen AI 7 450, £390 / €360 to increase RAM to 32 GB, and just £10 / €10 to upgrade the battery from 48Wh to 64Wh.
