Redmi M100: смартфон-гигант с батареей 7900 мА/ч и HyperOS 3

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Redmi M100 in China, a device built specifically for users who prioritize long battery life and excellent content legibility. Rather than chasing flagship status, the smartphone focuses on high autonomy and practical utility.

Display and Hardware

The device features a large 6.9-inch IPS display. While the resolution sits at 1600 × 720 pixels, the refresh rate hits a smooth 120 Hz. The front panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, a rarity in this budget tier. Performance is powered by the 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chip. This entry-level processor handles daily tasks and the UI with ease, though it is not designed for heavy gaming.

The highlight of the device is its massive 7900mAh battery. For context, the current industry standard is 5000mAh. The smartphone supports 45W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging, allowing it to function as a power bank for other devices.

Camera capabilities are secondary, with a 13MP main sensor and a 5MP selfie camera. A unique design touch is the RGB lighting integrated directly into the camera module. The software experience is driven by Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS 3.

System Features and Functionality

HyperOS 3 introduces specific accessibility features, such as a “senior mode” with larger fonts and icons, and a sound enhancement system that boosts call and media volume up to 300%. The firmware also includes an integrated auto-blocker for unwanted calls. The device retains a classic 3.5mm headphone jack, supports NFC, and includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Pricing

The price depends on the selected configuration:

  • 8/128 GB — $265
  • 6/256 GB — $295
  • 8/256 GB — $325

The package includes everything you need: a power adapter, a case, and a pre-installed factory screen protector.

This smartphone is an excellent choice for those needing a “workhorse” device with extreme battery life and a simple interface. Despite its modest cameras, it offers modern standards like NFC and a high-refresh-rate display, making it a highly balanced solution in the budget segment.
