Vapor World and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy Headline New Xbox Game Pass Titles

Microsoft has published the final list of games joining the Xbox Game Pass catalog in the second half of August 2026. Some of the announced projects are already available to subscribers, while the rest will be released in the coming days.

Titles Available Now

One of the latest arrivals is Egging On. The game has launched on Xbox Series X|S, PC, mobile devices, and cloud, and is also included in the Game Pass Premium tier.

It is a platformer featuring a fragile egg as the main character, tasked with escaping a henhouse and overcoming various obstacles across a factory and a farm shop.

On August 19, three projects landed on Game Pass. Vapor World: Over the Mind is available on console, PC, and cloud. It is an atmospheric souls-like platformer where players explore a shattered consciousness and recover lost memories.

On the same day, subscribers gained access to BlazBlue Entropy Effect X, a roguelite action game set in the BlazBlue universe featuring 2D graphics and a dynamic combat system. The game is out now on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and cloud.

Another addition on August 19 was Relooted. This futuristic stealth-action game lets players plan heists and recover valuable artifacts. It is also available on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and cloud.

On August 20, the catalog added Starsand Island, a relaxing life sim where you can fish, explore the world, and build your life on an island. The project is available on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and cloud.

Upcoming Releases

More premieres are scheduled for August 25. On that day, subscribers will receive Aerial Knight’s DropShot, a high-speed first-person action game featuring dragon battles, and Blood Dungeon, a 2D platformer with automatic shooting mechanics. Both games will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and cloud.

On August 27, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy arrives on Game Pass. The plot centers on Sofia, who must face dangerous trials and encounter mythical creatures. The project will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and cloud.

At the end of the month, on August 31, subscribers will get Young Suns, a cooperative life sim set in a space revolution. Another game, Shelldiver, will join the catalog on September 1, tasking players with managing a shop while playing as a turtle.

Games Leaving Game Pass

On August 31, several projects will leave the Xbox Game Pass catalog. Before that date, subscribers still have time to finish:

The second half of August is packed for Xbox Game Pass users: Microsoft is adding a variety of genres to the catalog, from souls-likes and stealth-action titles to life sims and co-op games. However, subscribers should also keep in mind the downside of the update, as several titles will be departing the service.
