DDoD Hits Xbox and PC Simultaneously in 2026
19.08.26
The domestic game development industry continues to gain momentum: during the Ukrainian Games Festival on Steam, The Future Entertainment Company announced major news for console players. The cooperative roguelite shooter DDoD will be released on Xbox consoles simultaneously with the global PC release in 2026.
DDoD Plot
The story unfolds in the so-called Purple Lands, a closed experimental industrial region. The territory is infected with a mysterious substance called the Fog. The local fauna consists of dangerous and deceptively charming creatures that are extremely aggressive: if players lose their guard for even a second, they risk being eaten alive.
Gameplay and Features
The project is focused on cooperative interaction, allowing 1 to 4 players to participate in missions. Solo mode is also available. Key mechanics include:
- Loot distribution among team members.
- Ability to revive fallen allies.
- Planning joint ambushes and strategies under resource-constrained conditions.
- Monitoring battery levels in defensive devices.
The player’s arsenal is not limited: developers have added extensive weapon customization options, including the installation of various scopes, silencers, and elemental damage modifications. Players will explore diverse locations, ranging from military outposts to underground communications and secret laboratories.
Development Status and Release Date
DDoD has already attracted significant attention from the gaming community; in June of this year, the project surpassed the 100,000 wishlist mark on Steam. For those who want to test the mechanics right now, an official demo version is available. A full Early Access release is scheduled for 2026.
A simultaneous release on PC and Xbox consoles is a major step for the young Ukrainian studio, highlighting the high quality and significant potential of the project on the international stage. The impressive engagement figures and the availability of a demo version show that DDoD has every chance of becoming the next big cooperative hit from domestic developers.
