OnePlus leaves the US and European markets
14.07.26
The latest rumors that have been discussed for several months seem to have been confirmed: OnePlus is planning to exit the European and US markets. According to Winfuture, the decision has already been brought to the attention of the press, and the official announcement should take place in the coming days.
What OnePlus’ departure means for users
The decision to exit Western markets implies the cessation of sales of new products in these regions. Current inventory will be sold out over the coming months. It is important to note that the previously announced software support will remain unchanged – owners of current smartphones should not suffer from changes in the company’s structure.
Why OnePlus is leaving the market
The business transformation began back in 2021, when OnePlus became a subsidiary of Oppo, and company co-founder Carl Pei left the project to found the Nothing brand. Now Oppo’s main strategy is to expand its own presence in the EU, offering flagship devices such as the Oppo Find X9 Pro, rather than developing competing lines within the same holding.
It is noteworthy that OnePlus will continue to exist in China and India. However, according to the report, the brand will be refocused on selling budget Oppo smartphones under its own banner, abandoning the development of original OnePlus product lines.
