Kenwood Glass Core Pro: intelligent sound and advanced technology for audiophiles

The Japanese company Kenwood, famous all over the world for its acoustic solutions, presented the latest series of wireless TWS headphones of the Glass Core premium segment. The release of the line is specially timed for the upcoming 80th anniversary of the technological giant, which confirms the status of the devices as innovative audio flagships of the market. The development included two models capable of surprising even the most experienced audiophile with their constructive approach.

The premium line is represented by the basic model Glass Core (under the technical index KH-CRZ90T) and a more advanced companion in the form of Glass Core Pro (modification KH-CRZ100T). Both devices boast the highest level of mobility, ergonomic shape and support for top music audio decoders. To guarantee uncompromising sound without air loss, the manufacturer implemented full support for Sony’s flagship LDAC audio codec, as well as standard SBC and AAC basic compression codecs.

Detailed technical characteristics of new products

An absolutely unique design feature of the two presented versions was the proprietary acoustic diaphragm made of processed ultra-thin glass. According to the development engineers of the Kenwood company, the use of such material helps to almost completely eliminate unwanted parasitic resonances inside the capsule. Due to this, it is possible to achieve an incredibly clean reproduction of medium and high frequencies with an emphasis on the realism of vocals.

For mechanical filtering of the outside world, Japanese specialists have developed innovative replaceable nozzles made of premium liquid silicone – due to improved elasticity, they better follow the contours of the user’s ear canal. The active noise isolation of the base model offers the classic ANC noise cancellation system with a filter for wind gusts during a run, as well as neural network AI algorithms for cutting off extraneous sounds during a phone call.

Differences between the advanced version of Glass Core Pro and the basic one

The basic version is equipped with a single 10 mm branded glass speaker, while the Glass Core Pro model has a more ultimate audio filling:

  • Dual-band emitter with MEMS: In addition to the standard 10 mm membrane, the Pro version has a specialized MEMS driver that extracts the high-frequency spectrum to unprecedented detail.
  • Progressive adaptive ANC system: the noise canceling system intelligently reacts to the noise of a train or a busy street in real time.
  • K2 Technology algorithms: the software processor of the device carefully “completes” and compensates for the thinnest high notes lost due to hard compression in the MP3 format.
  • Exofield surround field mode: intelligent sound processor reproduces the correct acoustic field similar to listening to stereo speakers in a room.
  • Battery capacity: the older variation is able to last a record 49 hours on one full cycle when charging from the case, while its younger sister also shows an outstanding autonomy measurement of 44 hours.

Release date and price

The new wireless series is now available exclusively in the home market of Japan. Early buyers can pre-order the new products through Kenwood’s global Japanese portal, while the physical launch of retail pre-order shipments will begin near the end of June 2026.

The cost of technological devices is formed at a high premium level:

  • The younger version of Glass Core (KH-CRZ90T) is estimated by the manufacturer at 27,800 Japanese yen — approximately 7,000 hryvnias (about 170 US dollars).
  • The flagship Glass Core Pro TWS headphones (KH-CRZ100T) will cost more: their price starts at 49,900 yen — roughly 12,300 hryvnias (about $300).
