Official sales of the Huawei Mate 70 Air have started – a new premium smartphone that combines an ultra-thin design, flagship specifications and a relatively affordable price.
What is known
The Huawei Mate 70 Air is already available on Chinese online platforms in black, white and silver. Huawei has not yet announced the timing of the global release.
Prices of all modifications (in yuan):
- 12 GB + 256 GB – approximately $575
- 12 GB + 512 GB – approximately $645
- 16 GB + 256 GB – approximately $645
- 16 GB + 512 GB – approximately $715
The thickness of the Huawei Mate 70 Air case is only 6.6 mm, which makes the Mate 70 Air the thinnest Huawei smartphone and one of the thinnest devices on the market. At the same time, it is equipped with a capacious 6500 mAh battery, which is significantly larger than the iPhone Air (3149 mAh) and Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge (3900 mAh).

The smartphone received a 7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2760×1320 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of up to 4000 nits.
Mate 70 Air is available in two versions:
- with Kirin 9020A processor and 16 GB of RAM;
- with Kirin 9020B chip and 12 GB of RAM.
Built-in memory – 256 or 512 GB. The smartphone runs on HarmonyOS 5.1, which ensures fast and stable operation.
The main camera of the Huawei Mate 70 Air includes:
- 50 MP main sensor with optical stabilization;
- 12 MP telephoto module with 3x zoom;
- 8 MP ultra-wide lens;
- additional 1.5 MP Red Maple sensor.
The 10.7 MP front camera supports 4K video recording.
In addition, the smartphone is equipped with high-quality stereo speakers and is protected against water and dust according to IP68/IP69 standards.
Huawei Mate 70 Air is positioned as a lightweight, powerful and durable flagship, capable of competing with top models from Samsung and iPhone in the category of ultra-thin premium smartphones.
