Dreame Nebula NEXT 01 JET Edition: a hypercar with a rocket accelerator and acceleration to a hundred in 0.9 seconds

Dreame Technology, better known for its innovative robot vacuum cleaners, officially presented an ambitious project in the world of the automotive industry. Nebula NEXT 01 JET Edition is not just another electric car, but a real hypercar that combines a classic electric drive and a unique solid-fuel rocket engine.

Review of Rocket Hypercar

This project, which was announced back in August of last year, has now acquired specific characteristics. The key feature of the Nebula NEXT 01 is its dual solid fuel acceleration system. This technical solution allows you to achieve a maximum thrust of 100 kN with an incredible response time of only 150 milliseconds.

Technical characteristics: faster than sound

Overclocking has become the main indicator that Dreame is betting on. Thanks to rocket boosters, the Nebula NEXT 01 JET Edition reaches 100 km/h in just 0.9 seconds. Such figures bring the model to the most dynamic vehicles in the world.

To control such colossal power, a chassis with fully conductive architecture and a nonlinear control system with 14 degrees of freedom is used. Electromagnetic active suspension and dry braking system (brake-by-wire) provide a response time of less than 1 millisecond, reducing energy consumption by 50% and allowing to achieve a turning radius of less than 5 meters.

Innovation: solid-state battery and construction

Nebula NEXT 01 is equipped with the latest solid-state sulfide battery with a capacity of 60 Ah, which is already being prepared for mass production. In laboratory conditions, the energy density of one element exceeded 450 Wh/kg.

CTP 4.0 battery integration technology made it possible to abandon the traditional transverse and longitudinal beams in the battery unit. This significantly freed up vertical space in the chassis, improving ergonomics and aerodynamics.

Artificial intelligence and autonomy

Dreame bets not on software, but on AI. The hypercar features the Metis agent – a proactive assistant capable of managing not only the car’s functions, but also interacting with the user’s homework.

The autopilot is built on the third-generation VLA architecture and includes:

  • L2++ solution for full city navigation;
  • L3+ solution for fully autonomous driving;
  • Proprietary DHX1 LiDAR sensor with a visibility range of up to 600 meters.

Release date and price

The full-scale production of Dreame cars is scheduled to begin in 2027. It is noteworthy that the “civilian” version – Nebula NEXT 01 in the body of a high-performance sedan without a rocket acceleration system – will be the first to hit the market. The exact cost has not yet been announced.
