270 million active users spent $1 billion in the Epic Games Store during 2023

Epic Games Store summed up and shared interesting statistics for 2023. The number of EGS users has grown to 270 million, with 36.1 million daily active users and 75 million monthly active users.
One of the factors behind the popularity of EGS is the weekly giveaways. Last year, the store gave away 86 games for a total of $2,000 per user. A total of 580 million copies of free games were activated.
Additionally, the EGS game catalog grew significantly in 2023 with publishers and developers adding 1,300 new projects. The Epic Games Store now offers more than 2,900 games, an 88% increase from 2022.
Users spent $950 million on games on the Epic Games Store this year, up 16% from 2022.
EGS named the most popular games of 2023. The list was divided into three categories:
