Windows 10 ISO image available for download
29.07.15
July 29 is the official release date of the new Windows 10 operating system. Starting today and throughout the year, Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1 users have the opportunity to upgrade to Windows 10 for free.
The usual procedure for migrating from Windows 7/8/8.1 to Windows 10 is through Windows Update. But if you need to update several PCs at once, it will be much more convenient to use the Windows 10 installation disc.
To download the Windows 10 image, there is a special media creation tool application (www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10). With it, you can select the required version of Windows 10 (32/64 bit, PRO version or regular, language), immediately prepare a bootable USB flash drive or disk with a Windows 10 image, and also download an ISO image to your computer.

To update Windows 7/8/8.1 – Windows 10, simply run the installation file while in Windows and select the required item from the menu.
Many users prefer a complete system overhaul with a clean installation of a new OS instead of an update. Potentially, this will reduce the likelihood of any problems occurring to a minimum. In this case, a bootable USB flash drive or disk with a Windows 10 image will also come in handy.
How can you take advantage of the opportunity to switch from Windows 7/8/8.1 to Windows 10 for free with a “clean” installation?
First, you will still need to update your system from Windows 7/8/8.1 to Windows 10. If you are using licensed Windows 7/8/8.1 and it is correctly activated, then when you upgrade to Windows 10, the new OS will also be activated automatically. Activation will be tied to your PC, and this information will be saved in the Microsoft database. Then, with a clean installation of Windows 10, the data from the database will be matched with your system and you will receive activated Windows 10 on your PC.
If you did everything correctly, but a message about the need to enter an activation key during installation still appears, you may be installing an incompatible edition. For example, Windows 7/8/8.1 Home version cannot be upgraded to Windows 10 PRO for free.
