Tecno and Lamborghini release smartphone, desktop and laptop

While most smartphone manufacturers continue to experiment with “vegan leather” and glass cases, the company Tecno has collaborated with a well-known brand. The new collaboration with the Italian brand Tonino Lamborghini was an attempt to add a bit of a premium image to mass devices.

The return of metal smartphones

The main novelty was a special version of the Pova Metal Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition smartphone. The manufacturer calls the device the world’s first all-metal smartphone with support for .

Metal cases almost disappeared from the market a few years ago: solid metal complicates the operation of antennas and worsens signal transmission. Even devices like the iPhone 17 Pro from Apple, when returning to a metal design, use glass inserts. Tecno claims that the new model has managed to implement an all-metal design.

Little is known about the specifications yet. The smartphone runs on one of the Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. The screen has very thin frames – about 0.99 mm.

On the back panel is a light module based on a matrix of 241 pixels. Such elements are usually used for notifications and decorative lighting.

The smartphone is planned to be released in three colors: black, red and white.

Taurus Mini PC: a compact computer with liquid cooling

The second notable novelty is the Tonino Lamborghini Tecno Taurus mini PC, also known as the Mega Mini G1 Pro. This is an updated version of the device created in conjunction with the company Geekom. The first model attracted attention due to its compact body and liquid cooling system.

The liquid cooling system takes up minimal volume inside the case. Through the transparent elements, you can observe the operation of the pump and the movement of the cooling liquid – a rare feature for devices of this format.

Expanding the device line

In addition to the smartphone and mini PC, the companies also announced several additional devices: a laptop, a tablet and wireless headphones. Their technical specifications have not yet been disclosed.

All devices will be made in a similar style: a bulky body, a bull logo and the use of metal elements. All things considered, the partnership with Tonino Lamborghini should help Tecno strengthen its position in the more expensive electronics segment.

Against the backdrop of such announcements, another topic continues to be discussed in the industry – access to raw materials for electronics manufacturers. Control over the supply of metals and rare earth elements can directly affect whether companies will be able to continue to produce metal devices in mass quantities.
